Accessibility statement
This page says how accessible myadacompliance.com is, what standard it is measured against, what we have not fixed yet, and how to tell us when something does not work for you.
Our commitment
We sell accessibility. It would be indefensible for our own website not to meet the standard we hold other sites to, so we test this site the same way we test a client's, using the same people and the same tools.
What standard we measure against
The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines, version 2.2, level AA. That is the standard courts and plaintiffs in the United States point to, and it is the standard your report will reference if you become a client.
There is no government body that certifies a website as accessible, and no one can register you as compliant. Any conformance statement, including this one, is a claim made by the site owner and supported by testing.
Conformance status
This site is partially conformant with WCAG 2.2 level AA. Partially conformant means most of the site meets the standard, and the exceptions are listed below rather than left for you to discover.
We do not claim full conformance, because the site is new, some content has not been tested with every combination of browser and assistive technology, and the honest position is the one we would want a vendor to take with us.
How this site was tested
- Automated testing with axe-core against every page, in both the light and dark colour schemes.
- Keyboard only navigation of every page, checking focus order, focus visibility, and that nothing can be reached by mouse alone.
- Colour contrast measured on every text and interface colour pair rather than estimated.
- Reflow checked at 320 pixels wide and at 200 percent zoom.
- Target sizes measured against the 24 by 24 pixel minimum.
The dated report from that testing is available. Ask us for it and we will send it, including the items still open.
Known limitations
These are the things we know are not right yet.
- The free website check is not connected. The form accepts your details and reaches us, but the automated scan behind it is still being built. Nothing on the page claims otherwise, and we will remove this note when the scan is live.
- Photographs on this site are illustrative. They are not photographs of our own testers, and no caption presents them as such.
- Manual screen reader review is scheduled, not complete. Testing so far has been automated and keyboard based. A certified tester will review this site with a screen reader before we treat the statement as final, and this note will be updated with that date.
Compatibility
This site is built to work with current versions of Chrome, Safari, Firefox and Edge, on desktop and mobile, together with the screen readers built into those platforms. It should also work with browser zoom to 200 percent, with a keyboard alone, and with the operating system set to reduce motion.
Technical specifications
The site relies on HTML, CSS and JavaScript. The pages are usable with JavaScript unavailable, with the exception of the two forms, which need it to send.
